The benefits of using virtual tours

Why use a virtual tour? Four reasons.


1. They're interactive. Video tours are nice, but we tend to be impatient creatures and with a video tour you have to sit through a 3 or 4 minute video to get a sense of the home you're looking at. With virtual tours, you're in the driver's seat. You're the one controlling the tour, and you check out the rooms you want to check out, at the speed you want to see them. Missed something in the kitchen? No problem. Go back and have another look at those cabinets or appliances. Not sure what the view is like off the back deck? Quickly go back and take another look. Didn't notice if the bathroom in the basement has a shower? Jump that image and find out. That's the interactive nature of virtual tours, and it's why they're becoming so popular with MLS listings, new developments, short-term rentals and vacation properties.


2. They're the next big thing. As a Realtor or real estate developer, you want to be on the leading edge when it comes to how you market your properties, and that means staying up to date on the technology that buyers want to utilize.


3. They're a permanent open house. Sure you would rather walk-through a home with your prospective purchaser close at hand. But that's not always possible, and virtual tours give you the ability to deliver a 24/7 open house that will ultimately save you time, and let you zero in on your most valued clients.


4. They'll save you a ton of time. Imagine being able to send your clients a link to a property so they can get a sense of the home before deciding if they want to see it in person. Now imagine how much time you'll save by not having to show the same house over and over again.
